The MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation is an after-school youth development program in Jacksonville’s Urban Core promoting academic achievement and positive life skills through the sport of tennis for students in kindergarten through high school. We use tennis, daily homework assistance, and life skills curriculum to engage youth in an active and fun program. By correlating success on the court with success in life, MWYF fosters leadership, sportsmanship, self-esteem, confidence, discipline, accountability, and the value of hard work, teamwork, and individual effort.

Since its inception, there have been 754 non-replicated students in the TnT program. In 22 years, over 20,000 children and their families have been impacted by MWYF and its programs.

On our Blog, we will feature interviews from our students and supporters as well as share what life is like working in the non-profit industry and working with youth.  It’s NEVER a dull day around here! Stay Tuned!
